The coach is one of the most environmentally friendly motorised means of transport and performs very well in terms of CO2 balance compared with other modes of transport. By far the least energy is consumed per person. This results in low pollutant emissions.
Travelling ecologically – with our electric coach
Sustainability starts with the way we travel. With our new fully electric coach we are setting an example for more environmentally conscious mobility. The electric drive enables travel without direct CO₂ and pollutant emissions while driving, and also reduces noise. With a range of up to 500 kilometres, even longer distances in Switzerland and Europe can be covered comfortably by electric power. In doing so, we combine ecological responsibility with modern travel comfort. 58 seats, Wi-Fi, power sockets, air conditioning, toilet and other amenities ensure that sustainable travel does not have to do without comfort. With our electric coach, we want to make an active contribution to reducing emissions and to the shift towards more sustainable mobility. Quiet. Clean. Electric. Shaping the future with EUROBUS
Today, climate change is one of the greatest global challenges. That is precisely why EUROBUS is actively committed to climate protection. Thanks to state-of-the-art diesel engines and technical refinements, our entire coach fleet uses by far the least energy. For example, our coaches detect gradients and reduce engine output on them in order to save fuel.
In cooperation with myclimate, we also enable you to fully offset the CO2 emissions of your coach trip. Your contributions directly support climate protection projects in Switzerland and abroad and help achieve sustainable development goals. Thanks to the contributions of our EUROBUS customers, we have already been able to offset greenhouse gases equivalent to the weight of around 45 of our Comfort-class coaches.
Myclimate
With EUROBUS you have the option of offsetting the CO2 emissions of your coach trip. In 2021 alone, these voluntary CO2 offsets by EUROBUS customers reduced the amount of greenhouse gases by 366 tonnes. But how exactly does this work?
In this area EUROBUS has worked for years with the non-profit foundation myclimate, thus supporting important climate projects. Last year, the EUROBUS donations made it possible to install 27 energy-saving solar cookers in Madagascar, counteracting advancing deforestation. 151 people benefit from this, and over 200 jobs were created. But EUROBUS's climate protection commitment also has an effect in Switzerland. For example, we take part in the support programme for the renaturation of the Schwändital raised bog in Glarus.

Madagascar
With your CO2 offset you supported the production and distribution of climate-friendly solar cookers in Madagascar in 2021. Because less wood is used to heat food, these cookers also counteract the advancing deforestation of Madagascar.
Schwändital
Thanks to your offsetting, the raised bog in the Schwändital in Glarus can also be renaturated. Bogs are home to many rare animals and plants, which is why Swiss biodiversity benefits from their preservation. In addition, bogs contribute not only to flood and groundwater protection but also to climate protection. They store enormous amounts of carbon dioxide and thus make an important contribution to reducing CO2.
Not only on the roads, but in the office too
To protect the climate as effectively as possible, the employees of the EUROBUS Group are also being made aware of the topic and sustainable adjustments are being made in everyday working life. To reduce paper consumption to a minimum, EUROBUS now sends booking confirmations by email on request, brochures and flyers are produced from recycled paper, and work processes are being digitalised on an ongoing basis.

Credibility is a firm part of our corporate culture, which is geared to sustainability. The ISO 14001 standard defines globally valid criteria for efficient environmental management systems. It examines the ecological balance, environmental communication and performance evaluation, and places strong emphasis on improvement so that the measures are always up to date.
