Ferienmesse Bern 2020 Holiday Fair
We had the pleasure of having a stand at the Ferienmesse Bern holiday fair from 23 to 26 January. Over four days, visitors had the chance to find out about many different destinations, equipment and, above all, types of travel.
We travelled there in our Deluxe coach as early as Wednesday to get our stand shipshape. Tables, counters and chairs were carefully set up first, then we began cleaning the coach of any impurities. In the bright light of our headlights, the red and white of our coaches finally shines that much better and attracts the attention of passers-by.
On Thursday the fair then began with a large number of visitors. We were delighted to meet familiar faces, but also pleased about new faces interested in our varied trips. Over a tasty glass of bubbly and a few nibbles we heard about the latest travel tips, past travel experiences, wishes and dreams. At lunchtime we enjoyed a tasty meal right in the hall and had the chance to chat with other exhibitors. All too soon the first day was over and we prepared for the days ahead.
Friday started off gently, as most visitors only trickled in towards midday. Nevertheless it was just as eventful and informative as the day before. Today, too, our coach driver Urs Zingg presented his travel talk on the Camino de Santiago walking tour. For almost an hour he told us about his experiences and the history of the Camino, and gave tips and tricks for future travel companions. The audience were very enthusiastic about it, as was I of course, and we were able to take several bookings for exactly this trip. Towards the evening the flow of visitors eased off a little.
At the weekend a large number of visitors awaited us, who simply wanted to ask at our stand about coach trips, destinations and also how we were doing. We swapped travel experiences, gave tips on our varied themed and circular tours, and were pleased to introduce them directly to the coach on display as well.
“There is so much legroom!” – “The seats are very comfortable.” The comments were very positive. The children also enjoyed our paper coach model sheets. One boy had already received one last year, so he was not going to miss out this year. He took both, large and small, to his mother's delight.
In the end, Saturday and Sunday also passed, and we had to pack up our belongings once again and travel back to Windisch by coach. We were delighted to be part of this fair and to get to know all our customers. And of course we hope to present our coach in the hall again next year.
