Travel Gala 2019 in Windisch
On 19 and 20 November we had the pleasure of welcoming more than 750 guests to our Travel Gala in Windisch. They travelled from all over Switzerland, by EUROBUS or by car, to enjoy a very special day. Of course we were ready and waiting – accompanied by a barrel organ – to welcome our visitors with open arms in our decorated travel centre.
On both days our visitors were able to get to know the diversity of the world of travel better and to talk to our staff about the various offers and experiences. To give our customers the best possible information, we set up sixteen stands where they could talk to experts and partners about travel themes and destinations.
Ten of our destinations were also showcased in entertaining travel presentations. Speakers with an excellent knowledge of the countries presented gave our guests the unique opportunity to be swept away on a taster trip and to fall in love with a destination in advance. They set off on a journey from volcanoes and highlands, via mountains and coasts, to flowers and cliffs, on the river as well as the sea. It is hard to get more varied than that.
Hungry from the many impressions and new information, our guests could be delighted at lunchtime by a one-of-a-kind gala menu. The starter was a delicious endive salad with oranges and pine nuts, the main course impressed with Heidi plait pasta and beef ragout. The dessert, too, left nothing to be desired: the panna cotta with plum compote still makes my mouth water today.
Hardly had they eaten when the next highlight was waiting for our gala visitors. On Tuesday we had the pleasure of welcoming Oesch's die Dritten to our big gala stage with a fantastic show programme. With great music they got the audience singing and dancing along. The show act on Wednesday was just as unique. A very special guest, Bo Katzman, visited us with his daughter Ronja and delighted the audience with well-known earworms and country songs.
The crowning finale was the draw for the winners of our Travel Gala competition. Once again we would like to congratulate the winners most warmly. And to those who sadly didn't make it: perhaps it will work out next year!
Our guests travelled back home in the EUROBUS or by car, waved off by the EUROBUS team in front of the travel centre.
It was a lovely time with you and we hope to welcome you here again next year. We are already looking forward to it.
