Day 1: Switzerland - Lyon
Journey to Lyon. After you embark, the crew will give you a warm welcome on board. Make yourself at home in your comfortable cabin and enjoy your first impressions on deck as the ship begins its journey along the Rhône later in the evening.
Day 2: Viviers
Today the charming little town of Viviers awaits you, with its well-preserved old town, winding lanes and the imposing Saint-Vincent Cathedral. Optionally, you can discover the impressive Ardèche Gorge on a scenic drive and visit the Maison de la Lavande, where you will learn interesting facts about the lavender so typical of Provence.
Day 3: Arles
You arrive in Arles, a city full of history and culture, closely linked to the legacy of the Romans and the works of Vincent van Gogh. (Optional) For those who wish to discover the wild beauty of the Camargue, an excursion to this unique region is offered, where white horses, black bulls and pink flamingos can be seen in the wild. During a visit to a traditional bull farm, you will also gain fascinating insights into regional bull breeding and life in the Camargue.
Day 4: Avignon
After a relaxing journey, you arrive in Avignon, the city of the Popes, whose imposing city walls and medieval lanes invite you to explore. (Optional) Join a guided city walk and visit the impressive Palace of the Popes. With the Histopad, you can immerse yourself interactively in its eventful past.
Day 5: Châteauneuf-du-Pape
In the morning, you have the opportunity to take part in an optional excursion to the impressive Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct and masterpiece of ancient engineering. Later, the MS BIJOU DU RHÔNE glides leisurely past Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where you can enjoy the picturesque backdrop of the world-famous vineyards, renowned for their exquisite wines.
Day 6: Tournon
In the early morning hours, you arrive in Tournon, picturesquely situated on the banks of the Rhône and surrounded by vineyards. Discover the charming old town with the Château de Tournon and the historic suspension bridge to Tain-l'Hermitage. Optionally, a scenic drive takes you through the attractive landscape of the Drôme with its vineyards, gentle hills and typical southern French flair.
Day 7: Trévoux
In the morning, you moor in Trévoux, an idyllic town with a rich history, which was once the seat of the powerful Princes of Dombes. The winding lanes and the impressive castle tell of the town's eventful past. Later, the MS BIJOU DU RHÔNE continues its journey to Lyon, where you arrive in the afternoon. (Optional) Join a guided city walk through this impressive metropolis, famous for its fine gastronomy, the picturesque old quarter of Vieux Lyon and the striking Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière.
Day 8: Lyon - Switzerland
Disembarkation and return journey to Switzerland.

Hotels
The comfortable MS BIJOU DU RHÔNE accommodates a maximum of 150 guests. All cabins are outside cabins and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone, safe and individually adjustable air conditioning. The cabins on the middle and upper decks measure approx. 14 m². On the upper deck, lowerable panoramic windows offer a magnificent view of the passing landscape. The Deluxe cabins on the middle deck have large panoramic windows that can be opened, while the other cabins on the middle deck have large panoramic windows that cannot be opened. The cabins on the main deck measure approx. 11 m² and have viewing windows that cannot be opened.
On-board facilities include a panoramic restaurant, a panoramic lounge with bar, a library, a souvenir shop and a sun deck with sunshade, deckchairs, chairs and tables. Wi-Fi is available for a fee.
