Day 1: Switzerland - Alsace
Journey to Colmar. Arrival at approx. 10:30 am. During Advent, Colmar is transformed into an enchanting winter wonderland. The historic buildings and narrow lanes of the old town are festively decorated and glow in a warm light. In the afternoon, continue to Strasbourg, the "Capitale européenne", the "Capital of Europe". Hardly any other city embodies both an exciting history and the idea of a united Europe more than this metropolis on the Rhine. After arrival and embarkation, you can enjoy your first dinner on board your "floating hotel" and discover the outstanding cuisine of the MS Serenade 2.
Day 2: Strasbourg
The coach takes you to the centre of Strasbourg and back again.
Make the most of the day with a leisurely visit to the Strasbourg Christmas market – the highlight and a true historic sensation at Christmas time, as the market has been held since as far back as 1570. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful and elaborate Christmas markets in France. The streets of the old town are enchantingly decorated, each trying to outdo the other in sophistication. It feels like being in a town made of gingerbread and lights, where the anticipation of Christmas can be felt everywhere. As you stroll through the lanes, let yourself be delighted by the treats the market offers at its various locations. In the heart of the city, on the "Place Kléber", a giant Christmas tree draws astonished "oohs" and "aahs". Return to the ship. After dinner, you can round off the day in a relaxed atmosphere in the panorama bar.
Day 3: Alsace - Switzerland
After disembarkation, journey to Obernai. Discover the charming town of Obernai with its atmospheric Christmas market, which invites you to linger around the historic market square with Alsatian specialities and lovingly decorated stalls. In the afternoon, the picturesque Riquewihr awaits you, whose winding lanes and festively decorated half-timbered houses provide a particularly romantic backdrop for one of the region's most beautiful Christmas markets. Return journey to Switzerland.
