Day 1: Switzerland - Bonn
Journey via Basel and Strasbourg to Speyer. Lunch break at leisure, then continue to Bonn. Check-in at the hotel and dinner.
Day 2: André Rieu concert
Around midday, drive to Maastricht. Here you will have plenty of time to explore the beautiful old town on your own. The city of Maastricht - Europe's smallest metropolis and the culinary capital of the Netherlands - offers many churches, historic buildings, hidden alleyways and large squares.
In the evening, enjoy the spectacular concert by André Rieu. Hardly any other violinist knows how to delight such a wide audience and fill concert halls like the Dutchman. Let yourself be enchanted by a magnificent palace with red carpet, Venetian chandeliers, Christmas scenes, snow, two ice rinks and beautiful winter landscapes. On arrival, a brass band playing wonderful Christmas music and actors in Charles Dickens costumes will welcome you and put you in the right mood for the three-hour Christmas concert. Wonderful Christmas carols, romantic waltzes and beautiful songs from around the world, such as Jingle Bells, Ave Maria, Oh Holy Night, Hallelujah, Sleigh Ride and many more, will immerse you completely in the festive atmosphere. A unique Christmas experience at the MECC event hall in Maastricht.
Day 3: Optional Cologne
Optional: Drive to Cologne at Christmas time. Cologne has numerous Christmas markets, including the famous one at Cologne Cathedral, the "Heimat der Heinzel" market in the old town and the harbour Christmas market at the Chocolate Museum. Alternatively, you may spend the day at leisure in Bonn.
Day 4: Bonn - Switzerland
Drive to Heidelberg. Free time in Heidelberg. Afterwards, return journey to Switzerland.
