Costa Smeralda Summer dreams in the Mediterranean

Day 1: Switzerland - Genoa

Journey to Genoa. You will go to your cabin and can explore the ship. At 17.00 it is "All ashore that's going ashore" as the ship casts off.

Day 2: Sea Destinations & Marseille

Between 06.00 and 07.00, the Costa Smeralda lies off the Calanques, also known as the fjords of the Mediterranean. White cliffs fall steeply into the sea. The ship anchors right here as the sun is rising, so that you can enjoy a concert at dawn, surrounded by the scent of lavender blossom. A pianist accompanies the moment with music inspired by the south of France. To finish, American coffee and croissants with the flavours of this region are served. Yes, it is early, but it is well worth it.

The ship then docks in Marseille. To gain a comprehensive impression of the beauty of Marseille's old town, we recommend a detour to the Rue du Panier, which is located not far from the eastern side of the Vieux Port. Just as lovely is the "Vieux Port", which translates as the Old Port of Marseille. (Arrival 09.00 / departure 18.00)

Day 3: Barcelona

Experience an exciting day in Barcelona. One of Barcelona's highlights is the monumental Sagrada Família church, located in the l'Eixample district. Construction of the church has been under way for 140 years. Another "must see" is Park Güell, the city's most famous park, adorned with thousands of mosaic tiles. (Arrival 08.00 / departure 18.00)

Day 4: At sea

Take some time out and relax in the Solemio Beauty Spa, or enjoy an Aperol Spritz on Deck 18 with a wonderful view of the sea.

Only with Costa does the sunset at Carloforte become a truly Mediterranean experience. Between 19.30 and 21.30, the ship sails along the impressive coast of Porto Flavia and stops off Carloforte as the sun slowly sinks on the horizon. The characteristic jagged cliffs turn golden, while the silhouette of the island's rock columns stands out against a fiery sky.

Day 5: Cagliari

In the south of Sardinia, in the Gulf of Angels, Cagliari, a magnificent city of Carthaginian origin, offers insights into its Roman, Spanish and Savoyard past (arrival 07.00 / departure 16.00).

Day 6: Naples

The city of Naples offers an exciting mix of history, art and culinary delights. From the port you have a breathtaking view of Vesuvius, which dominates the skyline, and of the coast along the Gulf of Naples. Food plays a central role in Naples, the birthplace of pizza, so you should definitely treat yourself to a genuine Neapolitan pizza (arrival 08.30 / departure 18.30).

From 20.00 to 21.00, admire the Faraglioni from the sea in the last hours of the day. When the light turns warm and golden, the ship pauses in front of Capri's best-known landmark and turns the moment into an exclusive experience — with attentive service, in a relaxed setting with a citrus aperitivo and gentle background music.

Day 7: Civitavecchia/Rome

From the old port of Civitavecchia, you can reach the heart of Roman and Etruscan civilisation. (Arrival 08.30 / departure 19.00)

Day 8: Genoa - Switzerland

In the morning you arrive back in Genoa. Return journey to Switzerland.
