Dates and prices
DAY 1 | TUESDAY, 25.05.2027
The dream begins: departure for the New World. Our adventure across the Atlantic starts at Zurich Airport, from where we fly non-stop to one of the most fascinating countries on earth. As the Alps fade behind us, anticipation grows for what lies ahead: Canada! After landing at Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto and transferring to our hotel, the rest of the day is yours to settle in. In the evening we come together for a first dinner. In a convivial atmosphere we raise a glass to the
days ahead.
DAY 2 | WEDNESDAY, 26.05.2027
Toronto, Canada's largest city, captivates not only with its enchanting location right on Lake Ontario, but also with many other superlatives. The capital of the eastern Canadian province of Ontario offers just the right blend of small-town charm and world-class metropolis. Multicultural neighbourhoods, modern architecture and excellent shopping make the city so appealing. This morning our city tour takes us to the city's most striking sights: the modern financial district with its
skyscrapers, the lively harbour district on Lake Ontario, the historic Yonge Street, considered one of the longest streets in the world, and St. Lawrence Market, one of the city's oldest markets. And you can hardly miss the city's iconic landmark, the CN Tower, one of the tallest free-standing structures in the world. After the city tour, lunch is at your own expense and leisure. The afternoon is at your disposal. With over 4,500 retail shops, Toronto is one of the world's great fashion centres. How about, for example,
a stroll through the quirky boutiques of Queen Street? Dinner is at your own arrangement. This evening, the first musical highlight awaits us at Toronto's legendary opera house, the modern “Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts”. The shy Nemorino will do anything to win the heart of the clever Adina – he even buys a so-called “love potion” from the travelling quack Dr. Dulcamara. The elixir – in truth cheap wine – sets off a whole series of comic misunderstandings before true love triumphs in the end. The opera “L’elisir d’amore” begins at 19.30.
DAY 3 | THURSDAY, 27.05.2027
There are a few places in the world you simply have to see once, and the thundering Niagara Falls are one of them! Today we take a day trip to this world-famous natural spectacle. The roar of the water announces itself from afar, before the view opens up onto the mighty cascades. Here the waters of the Niagara River plunge into the depths, creating a spectacle of spray, rainbows and deafening noise. It is an experience that ranks among the most intense impressions of a trip to Canada. After this natural wonder,
we continue to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a small town and a Victorian doll's house, known for its well-kept historic centre and its wine tradition. With Victorian architecture, flower-decked streets and small shops, it feels like a counterpoint to the monumental power of the waterfalls. The crowning finale of today's excursion is a visit to one of the region's renowned, idyllic wineries. Surrounded by gently rolling vines stretching to the horizon, we
take our seats for an exclusive lunch. In the afternoon we return to Toronto. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
DAY 4 | FRIDAY, 28.05.2027
Today, too, we leave the lively bustle of Toronto behind us for a few hours and enjoy a relaxed country outing into the green, peaceful heart of southern Ontario. The jewel of our excursion is the mystical Crawford Lake, a deep-blue, mirror-smooth lake nestled gently among dense, centuries-old forests. We take a walk along the shore as the fresh, clear forest air revives body and soul. But this place holds not only natural magic but also a great cultural heritage: right on the lakeshore we delve into the fascinating history of the First Nations. In the faithfully reconstructed 15th-century Iroquoian
village, we stroll along level paths between huge, historic longhouses. Here the past becomes tangible, and we learn in a wonderfully vivid way how Indigenous peoples lived for centuries in deep harmony with Canada's nature. At a nearby restaurant we are treated to a fine lunch before our private coach takes us back to Toronto. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. Dinner is at your own arrangement. “Roy Thomson Hall” is far
more than just THE venue for classical concerts in the heart of Toronto's Entertainment District – it is a sparkling cocoon of glass, concrete and emotion. When dusk falls over the city, architect Arthur Erickson's curved, beehive-like glass dome becomes a glowing sculpture, turning the restless light of the metropolis into a warm, inviting glow. The “National Arts
Centre Orchestra” is not actually based in Toronto, but is the resident orchestra of the National Arts Centre in Canada's capital, Ottawa. This evening the renowned orchestra is performing as a guest in Toronto. The concert begins at 19.30.
DAY 5 | SATURDAY, 29.05.2027
In the heart of Toronto, a place awaits us today that transcends the boundaries of time and space. The “Royal Ontario Museum” (ROM) – Canada's most famous and largest museum of world cultures and natural history – opens its doors this morning for a half-day journey that will touch us deeply and fill us with wonder. The architecture alone quickens the pulse: the historic, majestic stone façade merges spectacularly with the “Crystal”, a futuristic sculpture of glass and steel that rises like a giant crystal into the Toronto sky. It is the perfect symbol of what awaits us inside – the meeting of past and future. Opened in 1914, the museum presents art, culture and nature from all over the world and from every era. Today the ROM houses over 18 million objects, from Egyptian mummies to contemporary sculpture, from meteorites to dinosaur fossils. After the visit, you may extend your stay individually. Lunch is at your own arrangement. The afternoon is at your leisure. Dinner is at your own arrangement. When
Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 meets Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 2 this evening, the result is an evening made for the unique intimacy of the “George Weston Recital Hall”, THE acoustic masterpiece of Canada, whose sound is often mentioned in the same breath as the Vienna Musikverein or the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The concert begins at 19.30.
DAY 6 | SUNDAY, 30.05.2027
Sometimes you have to take a step back to see the bigger picture. That is why this morning, to round off our journey, we take a boat trip of about one hour on Lake Ontario. As our ship glides gently away from the piers of Harbour Front Centre, we leave the pulse of the metropolis behind us for a moment. The endless expanse of Lake Ontario opens up before us, and Toronto's majestic skyline delights once more from a completely different perspective. While the silhouette of the CN Tower gleams in the soft sunlight, we glide into a completely different world: the idyllic lagoons of the Toronto Islands. Here, where willow-fringed canals and historic island cottages slow down time, Canada's metropolis reveals its gentlest, most hidden side: a front-row seat between towering urban architecture and unspoilt natural idyll. After the boat trip we enjoy a lunch together and transfer to the airport.
