Every five years, Kassel becomes the world capital of contemporary art for 100 days. In 2027, documenta 16 will take place here, continuing the long-established series of groundbreaking exhibitions.

Day 1: Switzerland - Kassel
Journey to Kassel, the documenta city with an international reputation and a diverse landscape of museums and culture.
Day 2: documenta 16
After breakfast, you visit documenta 16 and immerse yourself in an exhibition that briefly turns Kassel into a living space of ideas for contemporary art. Among installations, imagery, performances and media works, new perspectives open up on the issues that move us today – sometimes poetic and quiet, sometimes surprising and provocative. Many contributions unfold in dialogue with their respective locations and invite you to
look more closely, ask questions and experience art as a stimulus for exchange and encounter. A full day is planned today, so that you can explore the main exhibition venues at your leisure and pick out your own personal highlights. The evening is at your disposal for dinner on your own.
Day 3: Lake Eder & Waldeck Castle
Today you enjoy a varied excursion to idyllic Lake Eder, which winds its way for around 27 kilometres through the charming landscape of northern Hesse. On a relaxing boat trip, you enjoy wonderful views of the lake and the wooded shores. You then continue up to Waldeck Castle. From the viewing terrace, you have an impressive panoramic view over Lake Eder and the imposing dam. After an eventful day amid beautiful nature, you return to Kassel, where you have time for dinner on your own.
Day 4: Kassel - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
