Day 1: Switzerland - Tyrol
Journey from Switzerland to Matrei in Tyrol.
The last boarding point in Switzerland is St. Gallen, Bahnhof Nord (north railway station), at 10.20 am.
Day 2: Boat trip on Lake Weissensee
(Optional) You take an excursion to Carinthia, Austria's sun terrace. On a two-hour boat trip on Lake Weissensee, you can enjoy the view of the enchanting landscape. In spring the meadows burst into vivid green, while autumn, when the leaves change colour, also offers beautiful views. After a short walk, return via the Iselsberg Pass.
Day 3: Ködnitz Valley
The Kals Glockner Road leads through wild, romantic scenery into the Ködnitz Valley. From the Lucknerhaus, you have the finest view of the Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain. On a leisurely walk (approx. 1 hr), national park rangers will accompany you through the blossoming Ködnitz Valley and tell you much of interest about the wildlife, flora and glaciers.
Day 4: Dolomites tour
At the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo lies Lake Misurina, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Dolomites. The journey continues to Lake Pragser Wildsee, with its unique setting in the heart of the Pragser Dolomites. You walk through dreamlike scenery around this emerald-green natural gem.
Day 5: Lienz - Strumerhof
On a guided tour including free time, you will get to know sun-drenched Lienz with its charming shopping streets. Onward journey to Strumerhof, high above Matrei. The Holzer family incorporates its herbs imaginatively into the menu. Afterwards, an exciting herb tour awaits you. In the afternoon, time in Matrei. In the evening, entertainment from a folk dance group with spirited Schuhplattler dancers.
Day 6: East Tyrol - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.

Hotels
The 3* Hotel Goldried (official national category) is located at an altitude of 1,000 m with panoramic views of the mountains and the village of Matrei in East Tyrol. Each of the spacious rooms has a bath/WC, hairdryer, TV and a balcony or terrace. The restaurant serves Tyrolean specialities and international cuisine. The hotel is known for its cosy rooms, good food and warm hospitality. An equivalent hotel will be used if this one is unavailable.
