Easter Joy on the Oder Easter customs full of heart and tradition
While people in Nuremberg light traditional Easter bonfires, Poland's festive customs come to life along the Oder. In the picturesque river city of Wrocław in particular, the Easter days are celebrated with gusto, with colourful processions and historic Easter markets. Further west, in baroque Dresden, the Easter weekend comes to a relaxed close with a classic walking tour of the city.

Day 1: Switzerland - Nuremberg
Journey via St. Gallen to Nuremberg. Walk through the historic old town, past magnificent half-timbered houses and the mighty Imperial Castle, and through romantic lanes steeped in history.
Day 2: Nuremberg - Wroclaw
Drive via Görlitz to the Polish Oder city of Wroclaw (Breslau), which enchants with its historic old town, colourful market square and hidden dwarf figurines.
Day 3: Wroclaw
On Holy Saturday a tour guide takes you to the city's most beautiful churches, so that you can experience the traditional blessing of the Easter food at first hand. Together with the locals, you bring a lovingly decorated Easter basket, filled with eggs, bread and salt, to the altar. To round off the tour on a sweet note, you will try the traditional Polish Easter cake "Mazurek", decorated with colourful nuts and dried fruit. Afterwards, free time at your leisure.
Day 4: Giant Mountains
The day begins with a festive Easter breakfast, featuring traditional dishes such as white barszcz soup and spicy white sausage. A scenic drive through the Giant Mountains then takes you directly to the historic town of Jelenia Góra (Hirschberg). To finish the excursion, you will relax in the traditional spa town of Cieplice Slaskie-Zdroj (Bad Warmbrunn) and enjoy the mountain backdrop.
Day 5: Wroclaw - Dresden
Arrival in Dresden in the early afternoon, followed by a city tour. Among other sights, you will see the Zwinger, the Semperoper, the Frauenkirche and the Residenzschloss.
Day 6: Dresden - Switzerland
After eventful days, you begin your journey back to Switzerland.

You will spend 3 nights in the selected
4* Hotel HP Park Plaza in Wroclaw (official national category). The hotel is located in the city centre, close to Cathedral Island, the Old Town Square and the university. All stylishly furnished rooms have bathroom/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe, air conditioning and a tea/coffee maker. In Nuremberg and Dresden you will stay in first-class hotels in the centre.
