Drive past Hamburg to Puttgarden and across the impressive Öresund Bridge to Malmö. In Malmö, Lilla Torg with its cobbled lanes and magnificent old houses has a very special flair, and you will explore it with your tour guide.
Day 3: GLASS COUNTRY - KALMAR
Travelling through the scenic south of Sweden, you will gain a first impression of Scandinavia's overwhelming natural beauty. Continue to the Glass Country, where a large part of Swedish glass production is based. At Kosta Boda, watch over the glassblowers' shoulders as they shape their fragile works of art. Not far from the glassworks, you will meet the "kings of the forest", the elk, in a park. After a short walk along the elk trail, the journey continues to Kalmar, the port town on the Baltic Sea.
Day 4: GÖTA CANAL - Stockholm
You follow the Baltic Sea and cross Östergötland with its countless lakes and forests. (Optional) In Söderköping, a boat trip with lunch on the magnificent Göta Canal awaits you. Many Swedish politicians, kings and industrialists were inspired by the idea of linking the east coast near Stockholm with the west coast near Gothenburg. In 1998, the Göta Canal was named a historic landmark of international engineering. Afterwards, coach journey to Stockholm.
Day 5: STOCKHOLM
On a guided city tour, you will make the acquaintance of the splendid metropolis of Stockholm. Water, water everywhere. And in the middle stands the island with the Old Town, with its narrow lanes, the City Hall, the Parliament island and the Royal Palace, Kungliga Slottet. (Optional excursion) In the afternoon you have time to make your own discoveries in Stockholm, or you can join the excursion to the islands, which are used as a recreational area close to the city. The Stockholm archipelago consists of 30'000 islands, skerries and rocks stretching out into the Baltic Sea east of the city centre.
Day 6: "LINDSTRÖM" COUNTRY
Excursion with your tour guide to the picturesque province of Södermanland, where many scenes from Inga Lindström's gripping love stories were filmed. You will make a detour to the "end of the world" in the southern archipelago. The colourful wooden houses and winding little lanes give the picturesque small town of Trosa the flair of the turn of the century. Enjoy a stroll along the river to the dreamy harbour before continuing to the idyllic little town of Mariefred, home to the famous Gripsholm Castle. In Taxinge on Lake Mälaren, you are invited to coffee and cake. A short stop follows on the island of Lovön in Lake Mälaren, near Drottningholm Palace. Return to Stockholm.
