Finnish Lapland under the Northern Lights A winter adventure in the land of the reindeer
For centuries, the Aurora Borealis - the Northern Lights - has fascinated people. Its magical glow lights up the long, dark season of the high latitudes in particular. Northern Finland lies perfectly within the aurora zone, and February is an ideal time to travel to witness this natural spectacle.

Travelling along the coast, you reach Kemi, the town at the northern end of the Gulf of Bothnia. Not far away, near Tornio, you cross the Swedish-Finnish border at the border river Torne Älv. In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious, typically Lappish "reindeer feast" at Restaurant Kammi (optional).
