Day 1: Switzerland - Palanga

Flight from Zurich with a stopover to Palanga and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Curonian Spit - Trakai - Vilnius

Excursion to the Curonian Spit with its shifting dunes, fragrant pine forests and golden beaches. In Nida stands the little fisherman's house where Thomas Mann spent several summers. In the afternoon, you will visit Trakai Island Castle, once the residence of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, picturesquely set on a peninsula between three lakes. Overnight stay in Vilnius.

Day 3: Vilnius - Riga

During the city tour of Vilnius, you will see Gediminas' Tower and the Church of St Peter and St Paul. On the way to Riga, you will pass the moving Hill of Crosses, where thousands of crosses have accumulated on a hill over generations, a national place of pilgrimage.

Day 4: Riga

A whole day for the largest of the three Baltic capitals. On the guided tour of the old town, you will experience the Cathedral, the House of the Blackheads and the row of houses known as the Three Brothers. Riga is also famous for its Art Nouveau quarter, one of the finest in Europe. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 5: Riga - Tartu

Drive to Estonia and the university city of Tartu, the oldest city in the country. On a walking tour, you will see the Gunpowder Tower, the neoclassical town hall, the venerable university and the romantic Angel's Bridge.

Day 6: Tartu - Tallinn

Onward journey to Tallinn. On the city tour, you will experience medieval Reval with Toompea Hill and its wide views over the city, the Gothic town hall and magnificent gabled houses such as the House of the Blackheads.

Day 7: Tallinn - Helsinki - Turku

You will cross to Helsinki by day ferry. On the city tour, you will see the gold-domed Uspenski Cathedral and the Rock Church, hewn out of solid rock. You will then continue along the coast to Turku, the oldest city in Finland.

Day 8: Turku - Naantali - Stockholm

The highlight of the North: a boat trip through the fascinating Finnish archipelago with its countless islands. During the trip, you will enjoy lunch on board. In the charming coastal town of Naantali, you will stop in the old town with its colourful wooden houses. In the evening, you will take the overnight ferry to Sweden.

Day 9: Stockholm

Arrival early in the morning in Sweden's capital, built on fourteen islands. On the city tour, you will discover the winding old town of Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace and the City Hall (Stadshuset). Free time for your own discoveries, such as the Vasa Museum with its famous warship.

Day 10: Stockholm - Zurich

Flight from Stockholm to Zurich. Individual journey home.
