At this time of year, Stockholm is still festively lit and decorated from the Christmas season. On 31 December, an actor reads the "New Year Bell" poem atmospherically on the open-air stage at the Skansen museum, while Stockholmers gather to admire the fireworks above the city.

Day 1: Switzerland - Stockholm
Flight from Zurich to Stockholm. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the city, beautifully set across 14 islands. You will see the most important sights, such as Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace and the cathedral. You will also visit the Stadshuset, where the grand Nobel banquet takes place every year.
Day 2: New Year's Eve
In the morning, you will take a wonderful trip on a 1906 steamship through the frozen waters of the archipelago. Lunch is served on board, and you will hear about the archipelago and Stockholm's sights. Return to the hotel to relax before enjoying a delicious New Year's Eve gala dinner in a good restaurant in the Old Town. The evening is rounded off with a visit to the Skansen open-air museum. Here, many Stockholmers gather to hear a reading of Alfred Tennyson's poem "Ring Out, Wild Bells" and to admire the fireworks over the capital.
Day 3: New Year's Day
Enjoy the quiet winter's day and first visit the museum dedicated to the famous warship Vasa, as well as the thoroughly modern and interactive ABBA Museum. (Optional) In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to attend the traditional New Year's concert in the cathedral.
Day 4: Stockholm - Zurich
Return flight from Stockholm to Zurich.
Day 8: Hannover - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
