Day 1: Switzerland - Dresden
Journey via Basel to Dresden, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. En route, you can enjoy the impressive scenery before checking in to your accommodation in the Saxon cultural capital.
Day 2: Dresden
Together with your city guide, you will explore Dresden. The city on the Elbe impresses with its Baroque splendour, numerous important sights and rich cultural heritage.
Day 3: Spreewald
Punt trip through the Spreewald from Lübbenau to Lehde. In this typical Spreewald village, you will visit the open-air museum and learn fascinating facts about the region and the life of its inhabitants.
Day 4: Meissen
Excursion to Meissen, famous for its porcelain. You will visit the demonstration workshop and showroom of the porcelain manufactory. Afterwards, a guided tour takes you around the Albrechtsburg, Germany's oldest castle, high above the Elbe valley.
Day 5: Saxon Switzerland
(Optional excursion) Panoramic drive through the Saxon Switzerland National Park. You will visit the famous Bastei Bridge with views of the rock landscape. Afterwards, you will enjoy a boat trip from Pirna to Königstein, where you will visit the impressive fortress on the rock above the Elbe valley.
Day 6: Dresden - Switzerland
After eventful days, you will begin your journey back to Switzerland.

Hotels
You will stay at the 4* Hotel Elbflorenz Dresden (official national rating), only about a 10-minute walk from the city centre and Dresden's Old Town. The hotel has a sauna, a fitness area (for a fee) and a terrace with panoramic views over the city. The air-conditioned rooms are equipped with French windows, cable TV, minibar and Wi-Fi. A hotel of equivalent standard will be used if this one is unavailable.
