New Year's Eve in Stockholm Gott nytt år! - Happy New Year!
At this time of year, Stockholm is still festively lit and decorated for Christmas. On 31 December, an actor reads the "New Year's Bell" poem with great atmosphere on the open-air stage at the Skansen Museum, and Stockholmers gather to admire the fireworks above the city.

Day 1: Switzerland - Hanover
Journey to Hanover.
Day 2: Hanover - Kiel
Drive to Hamburg. Free time in the Hanseatic city. In the afternoon, continue to Kiel. Embarkation on one of the Stena Line ferries. Large dinner buffet on board.
Day 3: Gothenburg - Stockholm
You arrive in Gothenburg in the morning and drive through the interior, along Lake Vättern, to Stockholm. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the city, beautifully set across 14 islands. You will see the most important sights, such as Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace and the cathedral. You will also visit the Stadshuset, where the grand Nobel banquet takes place every year.
Day 4: New Year's Eve
In the morning, you take a wonderful trip on a 1906 saloon steamer through the frozen waters of the archipelago. Lunch is served on board, and you will hear about the archipelago and Stockholm's sights. Return to the hotel and relax before enjoying a delicious New Year's Eve gala dinner in a good restaurant in the old town. The evening is rounded off with a visit to the Skansen open-air museum. Many Stockholm residents gather here to hear the reading of Alfred Tennyson's poem "New Year Bells" and to admire the fireworks over the capital.
Day 5: New Year's Day
You enjoy the quiet winter's day and first visit the museum dedicated to the famous warship Vasa, as well as the ultra-modern, interactive ABBA Museum. (Optional) In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to attend the traditional New Year's concert in the cathedral.
Day 6: Stockholm - Gothenburg
Drive back to Gothenburg and embarkation on one of the ferries to Kiel. Large dinner buffet on board.
Day 7: Kiel - Hanover
Arrival in Kiel in the morning. Continue to Hanover for an overnight stop.
Day 8: Hanover - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
