Regensburg, the medieval city, entices visitors with its Gothic cathedral as a landmark and the Stone Bridge, once admired as a wonder of the world. Its old town, largely spared by wars and the passage of time, is the last remaining medieval city of its size in Germany and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Celebrate New Year's Eve aboard the MS Kristallkönigin, the largest ship of the Regensburg Crystal Fleet. Even the ship's silhouette is unique: a huge crystal crown, approximately 15 metres in diameter, adorns the outside of the vessel. The ship is designed as a gallery ship: a large opening draws the visitor's gaze from the gallery – the so-called Bel Etage – down to the entrance deck. The result is a truly unique sense of space.

Day 1: Switzerland - Regensburg
Journey through the Allgäu, passing Memmingen and Landsberg. Lunch at the Ammersee. Onward journey past Munich to Regensburg.
Day 2: New Year's Eve cruise
Excursion to the Bavarian Forest with a local guide. At the Weinfurtner Glass Village in Arnbruck you can marvel at traditional glassmaking at the glowing furnace. Various exhibition buildings, glass finishing workshops and the glass gallery "Kunst&Form" with changing exhibitions together make up the "Glass Village". You then drive over the Arber along the Czech border via Bad Kötzting and Cham back to Regensburg.
In the evening, enjoy a New Year's Eve cruise in a relaxed atmosphere on the MS Kristallkönigin. During the cruise, you will be treated to an exclusive 5-course menu. Dance into the new year to live music and fortify yourself at midnight with a hearty soup.
Day 3: Regensburg
Guided walk with the tour guide through the old town to the patrician houses, the Stone Bridge, the cathedral and the town hall.
(Optional) Late afternoon visit to the New Year's concert of the Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra. With playful, dance-like exuberance, rousing rhythms and yearning melodies that lead to distant corners of Eastern Europe, the Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes the new year. Even classical composers drew inspiration from the seemingly inexhaustible wellspring of Hungarian and Romanian folk music, but it was at the beginning of the 20th century that people began to collect the melodies systematically and incorporate them into symphonic works.
Day 4: Regensburg - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland with a lunch stop in Augsburg, with the magnificent Renaissance backdrop of its town hall.
