Nice Carnival and Menton Lemon Festival Spring awakening on the Côte d'Azur
The Nice Carnival is one of the largest carnival events in the world. Since the 13th century, this Mediterranean metropolis has devoted two weeks every year to joyful festivities. The carnival is opened by the arrival of the King. The colourful spectacle will enchant you too! At the "Fête du Citron" in Menton, citrus fruits are celebrated in style with events, parades and shows – and real fruit is arranged into elaborate sculptures. On this coach tour, enjoy the spring-like temperatures in the "capital of the Côte d'Azur".

Day 1: Switzerland - Nice
Journey via Lucerne and through the Gotthard into Ticino, then onwards past Genoa via Diano Marina to the Riviera dei Fiori and on to Nice.
Day 2: Flower Parade Nice
In the morning, enjoy a city walk through Nice with a local guide. At 2.30 pm the flower parade starts on the Promenade des Anglais. The large floats are decorated with around 3,000 colourful flowers. Roses, orchids, sunflowers, mimosas, carnations and many other blooms create a spectacular display of colour. Everywhere you will see colourful costumes, dancers dressed in black and white, and stilt walkers in fantastic costumes. In between, festively decorated floats known as the "Bataille des Fleurs", the Battle of the Flowers, move along the route.
Day 3: Lemon Festival Menton
The morning is at your leisure. In the early afternoon, a short coach journey takes you to Menton. Everywhere you can marvel at gigantic motifs made of citrus fruits. The fantastic figures, glowing yellow and orange, are mainly displayed in the Biovès Gardens. Numerous floats decorated with oranges and lemons set off at 2.30 pm. You can spend the rest of the afternoon as you please, exploring at your own pace.
Day 4: Nice - Switzerland
You follow the Riviera dei Fiori to Genoa and continue via Milan to Switzerland.
