Day 1: Switzerland - Savudrija
Journey to the Croatian coast. In May it shows its very best side: tropical plants, an azure sea and warm temperatures make your stay a highlight from the very start.
Day 2: Croatian Coast & Open Air
After breakfast, you set off with your tour guide on a sightseeing tour of the beautiful little towns along the Croatian coast. You will visit Poreč, among others. The coastline, around 250 km long, also offers secluded rocky coves, a few sandy beaches, but always clear water for swimming and a mild Mediterranean climate.
In the afternoon there is still plenty of time to rest before heading to the first part of the Schlager festival. The Schlager and folk music stars put on a fantastic show in a stunning setting right by the sea. On both days, a well-known ORF presenter will guide you through the event.
Day 3: Rovinj & Open Air
(Optional) Journey to Rovinj, one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Istria. On a guided walk you will discover the picturesque old town with its winding lanes, colourful houses and small squares. High above the rooftops stands the Church of St Euphemia, the town's landmark. Afterwards you will have plenty of free time to stroll along the harbour promenade, stop for a break in one of the cosy cafés or enjoy the Mediterranean flair on your own.
In the early afternoon, you return to the hotel, where you will have some time to relax. In the evening, the second part of the Open Air festival awaits you with a wonderful atmosphere and musical entertainment right by the sea. An atmospheric closing firework display provides the crowning finale to the two festival days.
Day 4: Savudrija - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
