Customs formalities / leaving Germany
When leaving Germany, we will make a short stop so that you can have your tax-free receipts stamped by German customs. Please have your tax-free shopping form ready together with your purchases, receipts and passport, so that the
customs officers can carry out their work quickly.
Customs formalities / entering Switzerland
Goods that you bring with you for your own private use or as gifts may be imported into Switzerland free of customs duty and VAT up to a value of CHF 150.- per person. If you are carrying goods that exceed the CHF 150 value limit, you must pay Swiss VAT on the total value of all goods. To do so, please use the QuickZoll app, which you can download from the App Store or Google Play. With this app, as a private individual you can declare goods for personal use or as gifts for import yourself and pay any customs charges directly. The Swiss customs app also summarises all customs regulations for entering Switzerland concisely. Clearing goods directly at Swiss customs is not possible due to time constraints.
