Day 1: Switzerland - Venice
Journey past Milan to Venice. You will reach your hotel comfortably by water taxi. Dinner together at the Hotel Indigo Venice Sant' Elena.
Day 2: Venice
Venice awaits you! Countless palaces, fascinating squares, romantic waterways and canals beckon. The day is at your leisure. Let yourself drift through narrow, picturesque lanes or enjoy a cappuccino at the legendary "Florian", the oldest café in Italy. (Optional) In the footsteps of Donna Leon. Today, a very special city tour awaits you as an option. Entirely in the spirit of Commissario Brunetti, you will discover the settings and secrets of the crime classics. From St Mark's Square on to the San Lorenzo police headquarters, where Brunetti's office is located. You will also see the Campo S. Aponal, where, according to Donna Leon, Brunetti's home is situated, and be able to experience the atmosphere of this place.
Day 3: Venice
Start your individual day with a wonderful breakfast and set off to explore Venice. (Optional) How about a visit to the lagoon islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello? On this full-day boat trip through the unique Venetian lagoon, you will get to know the three most important islands. Torcello, now almost uninhabited, was the centre of the earliest culture in the lagoon. Murano, by contrast, is world-famous for its glassblowing. On Burano you will then feel transported to another world, a rural fishing village of the 19th century. Its brightly coloured houses once attracted many painters. The fine bobbin lace that has been made here since the 16th century is famous worldwide.
Day 4: Venice - Switzerland
By Venetian motoscafo water taxi you travel to Tronchetto, then return to Switzerland via the Gotthard route.
