Pyrenees & Mediterranean Magic with Cruise From the mountains of Andorra to Dalí's art and the wild coast of Catalonia – and home by cruise ship

Day 1: Switzerland - Avignon area

Drive through France to the sunny south. In the Avignon area, the gateway to Provence, you check in to your hotel for the first night.

Day 2: Avignon area - Andorra

Across the hills of southern France you reach the Principality of Andorra, nestled between the high peaks of the Pyrenees. In the afternoon there is time to explore the lively capital, Andorra la Vella, with its shopping streets, at your leisure.

Day 3: Andorra - Pyrenean mountains

On a panoramic drive you will see Andorra at its best: deep valleys, Romanesque chapels and flower-decked mountain villages set against a backdrop of peaks of almost 3,000 m. To finish, you are invited to a tasting of typical herbal liqueurs.

Day 4: Girona - Figueres - Costa Brava

You leave the mountains and arrive in Girona with its dreamy old town, the colourful houses along the River Onyar and the medieval Jewish Quarter. In Figueres you step into the fantastic world of Salvador Dalí: the Theatre-Museum he designed himself is his greatest total work of art. You then continue to the Costa Brava.

Day 5: Costa Brava - Palafrugell

A circular tour takes you to the loveliest places on the “wild coast”. You stroll through medieval Pals, see the coastal town of Begur with its ruined castle and discover Palafrugell with its picturesque coves. At lunchtime you enjoy a traditional paella with sangria.

Day 6: Barcelona & embarkation

On a guided city tour you experience the Catalan metropolis of Barcelona: the world-famous Sagrada Família, the Gothic Quarter and the bustling Ramblas. At a tapas lunch you sample the city's culinary diversity. In the evening it is “cast off” for cruise guests – your ship sets sail across the Mediterranean. Coach tour guests return to the Costa Brava for one more night.

Day 7: At sea - Portoflavia & Carloforte

A relaxing day on board. In the afternoon your ship anchors off the south-west coast of Sardinia with views of Portoflavia and the fishing town of Carloforte.

Day 8: Cagliari

Your ship docks in Cagliari, the lively capital of Sardinia. The historic Castello district towers above the city with wide views over the sea, while lanes, markets and cafés invite you to stroll.

Day 9: Naples & Bay of Capri

Naples welcomes you with southern joie de vivre against the backdrop of Vesuvius. In the evening your ship glides through the Bay of Capri – as a “Destination at Sea”, you can admire the steep cliffs from the ship.

Day 10: Civitavecchia – Rome

From Civitavecchia, the gateway to the Eternal City opens up: Rome with the Colosseum, St Peter's Basilica and treasures spanning two millennia.

Day 11: Genoa – Switzerland

You arrive in Genoa in the morning. After breakfast on board, you begin your journey home by Comfort coach.
