Day 1: Switzerland - Mainz
Journey to Karlsruhe. Karlsruhe delights with its unique fan-shaped city layout, which spreads out around the magnificent palace. Discover the lively city centre with its beautiful squares, numerous shops and cosy cafés. Afterwards, continue to Mainz.
Day 2: Rhine in Flames
Spend the day just as you wish. Discover Mainz on a leisurely stroll through the charming old town with its winding lanes and lovingly restored half-timbered houses. Visit the impressive Mainz Cathedral, wander across the lively market square or enjoy a break in one of the cosy cafés. A walk along the Rhine promenade is also a good option. If you are interested in culture, you can visit the Gutenberg Museum and learn more about the history of printing. If you wish, you can take part in a guided city walk in the morning (optional).
In the evening, the highlight of your trip awaits: the last "Rhine in Flames" event of the year – a celebration of colours, sounds and emotions. Your journey through the romantic Middle Rhine Valley towards St. Goar and St. Goarshausen begins on board your festively decorated ship. You will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine. A carafe of water is already waiting for you at your beautifully laid table, before you can look forward to a delicious 3-course dinner. Atmospheric music provides the best entertainment, and if you feel like it, you can dance on deck. Against the impressive backdrop of the Loreley, you will finally experience a breathtaking firework display that bathes the riverbanks, the legendary rocky landscape and the historic walls of Rheinfels Castle in magical light. The high-altitude fireworks above the castles of Katz and Rheinfels provide the grand finale to this unforgettable evening.
Day 3: Mainz - Switzerland
Journey to Tübingen. Make the most of your free time with a leisurely walk through Tübingen's picturesque old town with its colourful half-timbered houses, small shops and inviting cafés.
