Day 1: Switzerland - Rome
Journey to Rome.
Day 2: Ancient Rome
Rome is really an open-air museum. You begin your "walk through antiquity" on Capitoline Hill, with a wonderful view over the Roman Forum. Next come the Colosseum and the Via dei Fori Imperiali with the Imperial Forums. Free time in the afternoon.
Day 3: Christian Rome
(Optional) Today you follow in the footsteps of Christian Rome with your tour guide, walking from the hotel to the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica. You will admire the largest basilica in Christendom with its precious furnishings. Visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel.
Day 4: Alban Hills
(Optional) An excursion to the picturesque Alban Hills offers an appealing contrast to the vibrant city life. Highlights include Castel Gandolfo, the Pope's summer residence. The day concludes with a wine tasting in Frascati, where you can enjoy regional wines and a light lunch.
Day 5: Rome - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.

The 4* Ele Green Park Hotel (official national rating) is quietly located in the green district of Aurelio. Surrounded by a private park, it offers a relaxed atmosphere away from the bustle of the city. The 153 classically elegant rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibar, safe, desk, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and a bathroom with shower or bathtub, bidet and hairdryer. Some rooms also have a balcony or terrace. The hotel's own restaurant "Oasis" serves Roman and international specialities with a view of the garden. A bar with a terrace invites you to linger.
