Day 1: Switzerland - Livorno
Journey to Tuscany, to Livorno, and embarkation on a ferry to Olbia.
Day 2: Olbia - Gallura tour
Today you will visit the Gallura region with its picturesque village of Castelsardo, perched on a rocky outcrop and offering dreamlike views of the sea. In a cork factory, you will be introduced to the art and tradition of basket weaving.
Day 3: La Maddalena archipelago
On a full-day boat trip you will discover the La Maddalena archipelago. A hint of the Caribbean awaits you here: reddish granite rocks, green maquis and hidden white sandy beaches. At midday, a plate of pasta is served on board.
Day 4: Nuoro and Orgosolo
In Nuoro you will gain valuable insights into Sardinian culture. At midday, a traditional shepherd's meal with regional specialities awaits you. Afterwards, you will visit the impressive murals in the Sardinian bandit village of Orgosolo.
Day 5: Alghero and Saccargia
(Optional) excursion to the west coast to the enchanting town of Alghero. The former Catalan enclave delights with a picturesque old town, an imposing town wall, an architectural blend of cultures and jewellery crafted from its world-famous corals.
Day 6: Costa Smeralda
For one day, immerse yourself on the Emerald Coast in the glamorous jet-set life of the rich and beautiful. You will be left marvelling and stop in several small coastal towns such as Porto Cervo. In the evening, embarkation on a ferry in Olbia to Livorno.
Day 7: Livorno - Switzerland
Journey home to Switzerland.
