Day 1: Switzerland – Dresden

Journey to Dresden, the Baroque city known as the "Florence on the Elbe". The Zwinger, the Semper Opera House and the rebuilt Frauenkirche shape the impressive city skyline. Arrival in Dresden towards the evening.

Day 2: Dresden – Pirna

Your first bike tour leads upstream along the Elbe, past the picturesque Pillnitz Castle, to Pirna, the gateway to Saxon Switzerland. On a walking tour you will get to know the charming old town. You then ride back to Dresden. (35 km)

Day 3: Dresden – Radebeul –

Moritzburg

On an easy cycle path you reach Radebeul, which is also known as the "Saxon Nice" because of its mild climate. The historic Lössnitzgrund narrow-gauge railway takes you on to Moritzburg, where the magnificent moated castle once served as a hunting residence of Augustus the Strong. You cycle back to Dresden through the Friedewald nature reserve and the Moritzburg pond area. (35 km)

Day 4: Meissen

Following the Elbe downstream, you reach the porcelain town of Meissen on a flat route. Along the way, the vineyards of the Saxon Wine Route line the cycle path. At the world-famous porcelain manufactory you will discover how "white gold" has been handmade for over 300 years. Meissen Cathedral and Albrechtsburg Castle can be visited optionally, and a stroll through the winding old town with the porcelain carillon of the Frauenkirche is also well worthwhile. You can enjoy the return to Dresden in a relaxed manner on board a boat. (25 km)

Day 5: Dresden

In the morning a guided tour of Dresden awaits you, introducing you to the highlights of the Baroque city. The afternoon is at your leisure.
