Day 1: Switzerland - Stuttgart

Journey to Stuttgart. Arrival at approx. 12:00. Free time thereafter. Around the Old Castle, on Schillerplatz and on the Marktplatz, the stalls offer an overwhelming range of festive goods and gift ideas such as Christmas tree decorations, nativity figures, toys, woodwork, marionettes and candles. Culinary delights are also well catered for. It is hard to choose between wonderfully fragrant gingerbread, roasted almonds, Swabian specialities, bratwurst or mulled wine. The city is a paradise for shopping fans, with elegant arcades, exclusive boutiques, first-class specialist shops, branches of international labels and department stores in every price range, right up to the luxury temple Breuninger. The heart and centre is Germany's longest pedestrian zone, Königstrasse. In the Bohnenviertel there are surprises to be discovered: wine bars, international cuisine and many, many small shops with a partly unusual and international range.

In the evening you have the opportunity to see the musical "Frozen" or "&JULIA" (optional, individual transfer to the musical theatre). We would be happy to organise the tickets for you!

Day 2: Stuttgart - Switzerland

Use the time to visit the market once more or to stroll along Stuttgart's premier shopping mile, Königstrasse. How about a visit to Breuninger, the Harrod's of Swabia? A shopping trip in one of Europe's last great privately owned department stores, beneath the glittering dome, on the marble floors, in the glass lift and in the finest café in the city is a "must".

14:30 Departure for Switzerland or extension night.

The Christmas market

With its roughly 250 magnificently decorated stalls, the Stuttgart Christmas market is not only one of the oldest, but certainly one of the largest and most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe.

Opening hours:

Sun. - Thu.: 11:00 - 21:00

Fri. - Sat.: 11:00 - 22:00

Shopping in Stuttgart

The 1.2-kilometre-long Königstrasse is Europe's longest continuous car-free shopping mile. Specialist shops, individual boutiques and international fashion chains line up side by side. Things are more exclusive at the traditional department store Breuninger. A detour to the nearby market hall is also recommended. In addition, the shopping temple Milaneo invites you to enjoy covered shopping. At 43,000 m2, it is the largest shopping centre in southern Germany.

Mon. - Sat.: 09:30 - 20:00
