Day 1: Switzerland - Asti
Journey through Ticino to Vercelli. In the flat Po Plain at the edge of the Alps, a key staple of the Italian diet thrives: rice. In Europe's largest growing region, you will be welcomed to a risotto tasting meal and a visit to the renowned Principato di Lucedio rice estate. Afterwards, continue to Asti.
Day 2: Asti - Barbaresco
City tour of Asti. Among other sights, you will see the late Gothic cathedral and the town church of San Secondo. At lunchtime, a wine tasting and lunch await you in the Marsaglia wine cellar. In the afternoon, you will drive through the Barbaresco region and stroll with your tour guide through the picturesque village of Barbaresco.
Day 3: Alba - Barolo
Guided walking tour of the historic centre of the "City of 100 Towers". Afterwards, there is time to shop in the boutiques or enjoy a cappuccino on a piazza. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive through the Barolo region to La Morra. Take in the magnificent view of the vineyards and castles from Piazza Castello. At the Cantina Dosio, a wine tasting with a snack awaits you. You will enjoy the farewell dinner in a typical trattoria not far from the hotel.
Day 4: Asti - Switzerland
Before leaving Piedmont, you will visit the Berta grappa distillery, including a tasting. The journey home to Switzerland follows.
