Day 1: Switzerland - Pollenzo-Bra
Journey via the Gotthard route through Ticino and past Milan into Piedmont. Lunch en route at the Osteria Cascine dei Fiori in Borgo Vercelli. Later, a guided visit to a rice factory. In the early evening you will arrive in Pollenzo-Bra. You will stay in part of the extensively restored residence of Charles Albert, King of Sardinia and Duke of Savoy. (3 nights at the Albergo Dell' Agenzia****).
Day 2: Prunotto winery
Before turning to wine, you will visit a hazelnut factory near Alba. You then continue to the Prunotto winery, beautifully set in an enchanting landscape. The Antinori family made the estate one of the most important wineries in the Langhe. After the tour and wine tasting, lunch awaits you in Castiglione Falletto. In the afternoon, return to the hotel. Enjoy the hotel's amenities and look forward to dinner at the Ristorante Antica Corona Reale da Renzo in Cervere.
Day 3: Poderi Colla and Alba
The series of wine tastings continues at the Poderi Colla winery. The Colla family has been involved in winegrowing for more than 300 years. Here they produce around 150,000 bottles of quality wine each year under the oenological direction of Beppe Colla and Dada Burdese. In the afternoon, drive to Alba, the small capital of wine and truffles. You will explore the town together with your tour guide. Afterwards, admission to the truffle market. The truffle market in Alba is probably the most famous in the world. This event attracts visitors from all over the globe and, with its numerous exhibitors and specialities, is a great experience for lovers of fine food.
Day 4: Piedmont - Switzerland
This time you will take the route via the Aosta Valley and stop in Aosta around lunchtime. Aosta itself is an ancient Roman town, still surrounded by the remains of a Roman city wall. In the Middle Ages it became a religious centre. Your final lunch awaits you here. Towards evening you will arrive back at your boarding points in Switzerland.

You will be staying at the excellent ****Hotel Dell Agenzia, in a beautiful location in Pollenzo-Bra, in the heart of Piedmont. It is also the centre of the Slow Food movement. In the hotel's own restaurant, you will be treated to typical regional dishes. The hotel is surrounded by a two-hectare park with a swimming pool (open seasonally).
