Day 1: Switzerland – Brussels
Journey via Luxembourg to Brussels. During the drive, our music expert will introduce you to the opera and cultural experiences ahead. In the late afternoon you will arrive in Brussels and check in to your hotel right next to the opera house. We have reserved the superior "Courtyard" room category for you, overlooking the inner courtyard. Dinner together at the hotel.
Day 2: Brussels & Opera
After breakfast, your local guide will welcome you for a walking tour of the historic centre, taking in the Town Hall, the Grand’ Place, Manneken Pis and more. The afternoon is at your leisure. After an early dinner, you will enjoy the two operas "Cavalleria Rusticana" and "Pagliacci" in the magnificent La Monnaie/De Munt opera house.
Day 3: Brussels & Art Nouveau
This morning your local guide will take you on an Art Nouveau tour of Brussels. With architects such as Victor Horta, Paul Hankar and Henry van de Velde, the city became the centre of Art Nouveau. Around 15,000 elaborate façades still shape the cityscape today. You will also visit the Art Nouveau section of the Belgian Comic Strip Centre, housed in a former department store designed by Victor Horta in 1903. Enjoy a free afternoon. Perhaps you will visit the Magritte Museum or the current exhibition at BOZAR, the Palais des Beaux-Arts.
Day 4: Brussels - Switzerland
After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to Brussels. Lunch stop at leisure in the beautiful old town of Metz.
