Day 1: Switzerland - Dijon

Outward journey via Basel and Besançon to Burgundy. Lunch in the village of Morey Saint Denis. The journey then continues to Dijon, where you will check in to your hotel room. Enjoy a first stroll through Dijon at your leisure. In the evening you will arrive at the Patriarch winery in Beaune. You will visit a small part of the 5-kilometre labyrinth of cellars dating from the 13th century. A magical, seemingly timeless winery that reflects the marriage of wine and culture. Here you will taste a selection of white and red wines (Villages and 1er Crus). Dinner, including accompanying wines, is also served in this atmospheric setting. (3 nights at the Hotel Mercure Dijon Centre****).

Day 2: Beaune - Meursault

With a local guide, you will stroll through the old town of Beaune and finish with a visit to the Hôtel-Dieu. This former hospice includes an infirmary ward, pharmacy, kitchen and chapel. The Hôtel-Dieu remained a hospital until 1958, where the poor and the sick were taken in, fed and cared for at the hospital's expense. In the afternoon, a short drive along the Wine Route takes you to Meursault. You will visit Château Meursault and enjoy a refined wine tasting. The history of Château de Meursault could fill an entire book. 1,000 years is an unimaginably long time, especially in the wine industry, which is often rather unhurried. Château de Meursault is also a working wine estate in the Côte d'Or.

Day 3: Comte Senard - Bouchard Aîné

In the morning, a short drive takes you to the well-known village of Aloxe Corton. A tasting awaits you at the historic Domaine Comte Senard wine estate. The prestigious range of wines extends from regional appellations to Grands Crus. Drive to Beaune and lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, you will visit the Bouchard Aîné & Fils winery in Beaune. Bouchard Aîné & Fils is one of the oldest wine merchants in Burgundy. The Bouchard wine tradition was founded by Michel Bouchard (1681-1755). Passed from one eldest ("aîné“) son to the next, the small business was gradually expanded. The seat of the house, the "Conseiller du Roy“ in Beaune, now houses the estate's administration and cellars. The property is one of the most beautiful houses in Beaune and reflects all the splendour of the Age of Enlightenment, with its love of the fine arts.

Day 4: Vosne-Romanée - Switzerland

This wine tour concludes in the village of Vosne-Romanée. Here you will take a short walk through one of the most valuable vineyards in the world (Domaine de la Romanée-Conti). Vosne-Romanée is an appellation of the Côte de Nuits and extends over more than 150 hectares between the communes of Flagey-Échezeaux and Vosne-Romanée. The appellation has 14 sites classified as Premier Cru. The vines grow on very chalky soils mixed with clay-rich marl. Only Pinot Noir is grown in Vosne-Romanée. Lunch awaits you at La toute petite Auberge à Vosne Romanée. You will then begin your journey home via Besançon and through Alsace back to Switzerland.
